Banach Spaces for the Schwartz Distributions

open access: yesReal Analysis Exchange, 2018
This paper is a survey of a new family of Banach spaces ${KS}^2$ and $SD^2$ that provide the same structure for the Henstock-Kurzweil (HK) integrable functions as the $L^p$ spaces provide for the Lebesgue integrable functions. These spaces also contain the wide sense Denjoy integrable functions.

On the space of Schwartz operators in the symmetric Fock space and its dual

open access: yes, 2022
A long-standing problem that arises when constructing the mathematical apparatus of quantum mechanics is the need to work with unbounded operators. Since the space of nuclear operators is preconjugate for the algebra of all bounded operators, we can ...

Wave packets in the Schwartz space of a reductive p-adic symmetric space

open access: yes, 2014
International audienceWe form wave packets in the Schwartz space of a reductive p-adic symmetric space for certain famillies of tempered functions.

On Schwartz Groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper we introduce a notion of a Schwartz group, which turns out to be coherent with the well known concept of a Schwartz topo- logical vector space.

A characterization of Schwartz spaces

open access: yesMathematische Zeitschrift, 1988
It is proved that a locally convex space E is a Schwartz space iff it is quasi-normable and every equicontinuous weak* convergent sequence in the dual of E is strongly convergent. The result depends on the characterization of compact operators between Banach spaces as precisely those which are representable as the product of three limited operators ...

Characterization for Beurling-Björck space and Schwartz space [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1997
Summary: We give an elementary proof of the equivalence of the original definition of Schwartz and our characterization for the Schwartz space \(\mathcal{S}\). The new proof is based on the Landau inequality concerning the estimates of derivatives. Applying the same method, as an application, we give a better symmetric characterization of the Beurling ...

On the Methodology of Space Ethics

open access: yes, 2016
Click on the DOI link to access the article (may not be free). This chapter addresses space’s impact on the methods of normative and applied ethics. My primary contention, by way of the dispute between value monism and pluralism in environmental ethics ...

Paley-Wiener-Schwartz Theorems on Quadratic CR Manifolds

open access: yes, 2021
Given a quadratic CR manifold $\mathcal{M}$ embedded in a complex space, we study Paley-Wiener-Schwartz theorems for spaces of Schwartz functions and tempered distributions on $\mathcal{M}$.Comment: 22 Pages, no ...

Prioritizing scientific exploration: A comparison of the ethical justifications for space development and for space science

open access: yes, 2014
Click on the DOI link to access the article (may not be free),I argue that the moral justification for space science is more compelling than the moral justification for space development.
