Unravelling polyphenol skin permeation: A comparative study using full‐thickness 3D in vitro and ex vivo human skin models

Protective effects of extracellular vesicle‐like nanoparticles derived from Cannabis sativa adventitious roots against UVB‐induced damage in human keratinocytes

Cannabis sativa root‐derived extracellular vesicle‐like nanoparticles (CA‐NPs) were isolated from adventitious root cultures and subjected to physicochemical characterization. Upon UVB exposure, keratinocytes exhibited increased ROS generation, apoptosis and MAPK activation, leading to oxidative stress and skin damage.

Trans‐resveratrol alleviates inflammation and improves skin barrier function via aryl hydrocarbon receptor pathway in human reconstructed epidermis

In a cytokine‐challenged human epidermal model, trans‐resveratrol reduces inflammation (IL‐1α) and oxidative stress markers (CYP1A1, CYP1B1), while modulating the expression of barrier‐related genes (LOR, OCLN) and differentiation‐associated CASP14. This supports its role as a multifunctional active for sensitive and compromised skin.

Home Production and Gender Gap in Structural Change

ABSTRACT The gender gap in non‐agricultural employment in developing countries is concentrated among rural married workers. Within‐family specialization is central: Married women spend more time on home production, work fewer market hours, and are less likely to incur fixed costs of entering non‐agriculture.
