The IFNγ‐CIITA‐MHC II axis modulates melanoma cell susceptibility to NK‐cell‐mediated cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Natural killer (NK) cells play a central role in anti‐melanoma immunity. However, melanoma cells adapt during co‐culture by upregulating CIITA and MHC II in response to interferon gamma (IFNγ), thereby evading NK‐cell lysis. Blocking IFNγ signaling or treatment with dimethyl fumarate/simvastatin counteracts this immune escape and maintains NK‐cell ...

Assessment of the genetic diversity of cattle by marker genes of dairy productivity

open access: yesВетеринария и кормление
Absrtact. The paper presents an assessment of the genetic diversity of cattle by the genes of dairy productivity: kappa-casein (CSN3), beta-casein (CSN2), beta-casein A1A2 (CSN2 A1A2) and genes involved in the regulation of milk production: fatty acid ...

AGRIFOOD INDUSTRY AS INDUSTRY INTENSIVELY BASED ON KNOWLEDGE - CASE STUDY OF VOJVODINA [PDF]

open access: yes
During three-hundred-year history of the market economy, the main sources of wealth creation have changed from the natural resources (mainly land and relatively unskilled labor with the exception of the master craftsman), tangible material assets ...

Not just a by‐product: circular DNA molecules derived from V(D)J recombination are linked to worse prognosis in B‐cell leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Gao et al. report that circular DNA molecules created as by‐products of V(D)J recombination during lymphocyte maturation (ESCs) can replicate and be retained for much longer than previously thought in healthy cells. In BCP‐ALL cells, increased ESC abundance correlates with a greater chance of relapse likely mediated by their ability to induce genome ...

PECULIARITIES OF CONTROL OF HUMAN ALBUMIN DRUGS ON THE CONTENT OF BACTERIAL ENDOTOXINS

open access: yesРазработка и регистрация лекарственных средств, 2019
The problem was considered to determine bacterial endotoxins in human albumin drugs. To improve the safety of medicines the option of dual control was recommended, which includes the rabbit pyrogen test and determining bacterial endotoxins by the LAL ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).
