The field of view of a scintillator pair for cosmic rays [PDF]
Particles in an extended air shower (EAS), initiated by a cosmic ray primary, lead to two nearly simultaneous detections in a scintillator pair. The angle of the EAS and the axis through both scintillators can be reconstructed using the time difference of the detections and the distance between the scintillators. The acceptances of a scintillator along

Bio‐Based Thermoplastic Room Temperature Phosphorescent Materials with Closed‐Loop Recyclability
Using the intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions between thioctic acid and cellulose, the RTP material Poly(TA)/Cell, is developed through thermal polymerization. Attributed to the thermoplastic properties, the as‐obtained Poly(TA)/Cell can be thermally molded into flexible shapes with uncompromised RTP performance.

Simulation Study for the Energy Resolution Performances of Homogenous Calorimeters with Scintillator-Photodetector Combinations [PDF]
The scintillating properties of active materials used in high energy and particle physics experiments play an important role regarding the performances of both calorimeters and experiments. Two scintillator materials, a scintillating glass and an inorganic crystals were examined to be used for collider experiments showing good optical and scintillating

The Scintillating Grid Illusion
Disk-shaped luminance increments were added to the intersections of a Hermann grid consisting of medium grey bars on a black background. Illusory spots, darker than the background, were perceived as flashing within the white disks with each flick of the eye. This striking phenomenon may be referred to as the scintillating grid illusion.

Novel carbon‐11 labeled pyrimidine derivatives are developed as PET imaging probes for visualizing sigma‐1 receptors in the brain. [11C]CNY‐01 demonstrates superior brain uptake and binding specificity in both rodents and non‐human primates. The study reveals decreased sigma‐1 receptor expression in Alzheimer's disease, offering a promising tool for ...

This paper provides a comprehensive review of the existing literature related to the fundamentals of gallium oxide (Ga2O3), growth methods, substrates, and particularly a focused examination of Ga2O3‐based heterojunctions. Particular attention has also been given to the state‐of‐the‐art Ga2O3‐based heterojunctions for photodetectors. The key challenges

SSLG4: A Novel Scintillator Simulation Library for Geant4 [PDF]
This study introduces a new Scintillator Simulation Library called SSLG4 for the Geant4 Monte Carlo simulation package. With SSLG4, we aim to enhance efficiency and accelerate progress in optical simulations within the Geant4 framework by simplifying scintillator handling and providing a rich repository of scintillators.

This study introduces a temperature‐concentration balance (TCB) method to grow high‐quality CsPbBr₃ single crystal with improved phase purity and structural stability. The crystals exhibits a sharp emission peak at 527 nm, narrow full width at half maximum (21.1 nm), and high resistivity (up to 3.97 × 10¹⁰ Ω·cm).

Isotope Techniques in Chemical Wastewater Treatment: Opportunities and Uncertainties
In this review, we would first introduce basic knowledge about isotopic compounds and then scrutinize the physical and chemical influence induced by isotope changes. Special attention will be paid to the uncertainties in explaining the isotope results.
