Commissioning of a precision preclinical 200 kV x‐ray irradiator based on modular adaptations
Abstract Background Preclinical research in radiation oncology encompasses a range of methodologies, including in vitro cell studies and in vivo small animal experiments, as well as in silico studies to evaluate radiation‐induced side effects and tumor responses.

Abstract Background Respiratory motion during the single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) acquisition can cause blurring artifacts in the reconstructed images, leading to inaccurate estimates for activity and absorbed doses. Purpose To address the impact of respiratory motion, we utilized a new optical surface imaging (OSI) system to extract

Abstract Background Ultra‐high dose rate radiotherapy elicits a biological effect (FLASH), which has been shown to reduce toxicity while maintaining tumor control in preclinical radiobiology experiments. FLASH depends on the dose rate, with evidence that higher dose rates drive increased normal tissue sparing.

The radical polymerization kinetics of DMAEMA is studied in both aqueous and nonaqueous solution. Solvolysis of the nonionized monomer occurs in aqueous and aqueous‐alcohol systems, leading to the formation of copolymer or terpolymer; this complexity does not arise when DMAEMA is in its ionized form.
