Photo-Detectors for Time of Flight Positron Emission Tomography (ToF-PET)
We present the most recent advances in photo-detector design employed in time of flight positron emission tomography (ToF-PET). PET is a molecular imaging modality that collects pairs of coincident (temporally correlated) annihilation photons emitted ...

Growth, Luminescence and Scintillation Characterization of Disodium Di-tungstate (Na2W2O7) Crystal Scintillator [PDF]
A single crystal of Na2W2O7 was grown by using the conventional Czochralski technique. The crystal structure of the grown sample was verified by using a powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis.

Luminescence and scintillation characterization of PbMoO 4 crystal for neutrinoless double beta decay search [PDF]
A PbMoO 4 single crystal with optically good quality and crack free, bulk crystal is grown by the low thermal gradient Czochralski method. The luminescence and scintillation properties of the grown crystal are measured under the excitations by 4.4 eV UV,

Azidophosphonamido Rhodium(I) and Iridium(I) Complexes: Synthesis, Properties, and Linkage Isomerism
A family of azidophosphonamido ligands and their corresponding rhodium(I) and iridium(I) complexes were synthesized. The rich reaction chemistry of these species revealed unusual linkage isomerization processes and bonding motifs. M = Rh, Ir; Mes = 2,4,6‐Me3C6H2. ABSTRACT A series of azidophosphonamido rhodium(I) and iridium(I) complexes ([iPr2P(N3R)NR]

A novel brand‐new co‐firing slow solidification process has been used to prepare Cs3Cu2I5: In single crystals (SCs), which demonstrate record‐breaking X‐ray detection performance. The regular‐shaped Cs3Cu2I5: In wafer obtains a high light yield (74 368 Ph MeV−1), which is the highest related to indium‐doped Cu‐based perovskites.

Study of prompt gamma and neutron emission for real-time range verification in proton and carbon-ion therapy. [PDF]
Abstract Background Accurate range verification is crucial in hadrontherapy to fully exploit the ballistic advantages of charged particles and prevent damage to healthy tissues. Among the proposed approaches, prompt gamma imaging (PGI) has emerged as an effective technique for real‐time monitoring, but its performance is limited by the intense neutron ...

New bis(amide) aminophenolate ligands form dioxomolybdenum(vi) and dioxotungsten(vi) complexes showing solvent‐dependent nuclearity. Whilst monomeric complexes featuring methoxide ligands are obtained in methanol, water triggers formation of μ‐oxo‐bridged dimers via oxo exchange, verified by 18O labelling.
