Macromolecular Rapid Communications, Volume 44, Issue 1, January 2023., 2023 Smectic C self‐assembly is achieved for the first time in mesogen‐free liquid crystalline chiral polymers with sulfonylated methyl‐branched alkyl side chains, as revealed by X‐ray diffraction and polarized light microscopy.
