Geranylgeranyl diphosphate synthase (GGPPS) plays a key role in multiple myeloma biology. Using crystallography, mass spectrometry, and fluorescence spectroscopy, this study shows that a somatic multiple myeloma cell line mutation destabilizes inter‐dimer interactions, resulting in increased GGPPS activity by facilitating product releas.

Key Points A stoichiometric calibration method for dual‐energy computed tomography allows non‐destructive characterisation of materials. Different acquisition settings and three different scanners were tested, characterising three rocks of known composition. Comparison of measurement results reveals the key parameters to be considered to perform useful

A novel approach to target skin photodamage: Topical application of salt inducible kinase inhibitors
UV‐induced photodamage leads to increased DNA damage and elevated MMP levels, which degrade collagen and contribute to wrinkle formation. SLT‐001 and SLT‐008, novel cosmetic ingredients that target salt‐inducible kinase, help reverse this effect by enhancing DNA repair, reducing MMP expression and decreasing erythema, thereby mitigating photodamage ...

Slip casting porous silicon nitride for high‐temperature radar frequency radomes
Abstract Silicon nitride (Si3N4) is a promising candidate for ceramic radar frequency (RF) radomes. In this study, suspensions have been developed to slip cast Si3N4 for RF windows utilizing 6 wt.% yttrium oxide (Y2O3)‐2 wt.% aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and 5–15 wt.% ytterbium oxide sintering aids.

MHC I of the Great Reed Warbler Promotes a Flat Peptide Binding Mode
In this article we present the X‐ray structure of MHC I from the great reed warbler Acrocephalus arundinaceus (Acar3) a long‐distance migratory songbird. Structural analysis in combination with genetic analyses shows that MHC I binds the peptide antigen in a flat conformation due to a sequentially well‐conserved restriction point, acting like a pair of
