水田の主要雑草である野生ヒエのタイヌビエ, イヌビエ, ヒメタイヌビエおよびイヌホタルイについて葉齢進展の指標となる加重型有効積算気温を, 第2葉の進展速度を基に算出した有効度に読み替えて1時間ごとに積算する手法として開発し, その積算値の一定性を検討した。1. 12℃から36℃まで3℃刻みに設定した陽光恒温器内で, 福岡県産のタイヌビエ, イヌビエ, ヒメタイヌビエおよびイヌホタルイの第2葉の24時間の伸長量を測定した (Table 1)。15℃から36℃までの温度条件下で完全に展開した第2葉の長さに対する24時間の伸長量の比をその温度の葉齢進展への有効度とし, Spline曲線補間法により0.1℃ごとの値を読み取り, その1/24を1時間当たりの有効気温 (e) とした (Table 2-1~4)
