Revision of the family Hemiporitidae (Scleractinia, Late Cretaceous)

open access: yesGeodiversitas, 2012
ABSTRACT The Late Cretaceous scleractinian family Hemiporitidae (suborder Faviina) is revised. Substrate attachment in colonial Scleractinia

open access: yes
This thesis investigates the complexities of asexual reproduction and substrate attachment in modern reef-building coral (Scleractinia). Chapter 1 employs innovative imaging techniques, including 3D volume microscopy (PFIB), to explore coral cell ultrastructure, immune response, and tissue behaviours crucial for attachment.
