Salvaging a Failed PreserFlo MicroShunt Using a Telescopic Tube-in-Tube Connection Technique With an EyePlate Implant: A Case Report. [PDF]

open access: yesClin Case Rep
ABSTRACT The PreserFlo MicroShunt is a subconjunctival glaucoma drainage device designed to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) via a minimally invasive approach. However, device failure due to bleb fibrosis remains a significant clinical challenge, especially when initial revision surgery is unsuccessful.

Immediate Bilateral Sequential Keratoplasty in a 13-Year-Old Boy With Perforated Corneal Ulcer Secondary to Exposure Keratopathy. [PDF]

open access: yesClin Case Rep
ABSTRACT To present the challenging scenario of a 13‐year‐old patient in the ICU with bilateral corneal perforations secondary to EK, who underwent immediate sequential bilateral penetrating keratoplasty. Furthermore, we explore the treatment outcomes of this approach. A 13‐year‐old boy presented with decreased vision in both eyes.

Scleral Patch Graft With Fibrin Adhesive For Post Pterygium Scleral Thinning

open access: yesJournal of Current Medical Research and Opinion, 2019
Scleral patch graft is commonly done for scleral thinning post pterygium surgeries. This procedure is done with sutures. Review of literature revealed few such cases. Scleral patch graft with fibrin glue has not been done so far. The novelty of our procedure is that we have applied fibrin glue to the scleral bed and pasted the graft over it.

Bioinspired Tissue Transparency: Achieving Sclera‐to‐Cornea Transplantation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 10, 18 February 2026.
A bioinspired decellularization‐compression‐locking tactic (DCLT) is developed to transform human sclerae into transparent corneal substitutes. These clear, robust, and pro‐regenerative substitutes are capable of repairing complex corneal injuries, including chemical burns, keratoconus, and penetrating wounds, demonstrating their clinical potential to ...
