, 2010 Sclerotinia (rattenkeutelziekte) wordt veroorzaakt door de schimmel Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. Deze komt voor op zeer veel gewassen en overleeft lang in de bodem. Onder veelal vochtige omstandigheden na droogte ontstaan vruchtlichamen (paddestoelen) van waaruit sporen zich verspreiden. Ze infecteren de plant via beschadigd weefsel.
