Production of scleroglucan from Sclerotium rolfsii MTCC 2156
Bioresource Technology, 2006Scleroglucan, a neutral homopolysaccaride consisting of a linear chain of beta-D-(1-3)-glucopyranosyl and beta-D-(1-6)-glucopyranosyl groups, was produced by pure culture fermentation from Sclerotium rolfsii MTCC 2156 by submerged culture. Fermentation process was optimized in two steps.

Cellobiose dehydrogenase from Sclerotium rolfsii
1988Publisher Summary This chapter describes the assay method and purification procedure of cellobiose dehydrogenase from Sclerotium rolfsii. The chapter also describes the purity, stability, physical, chemical, and enzymatic properties the purified enzyme. The purified enzyme shows one protein band on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis at pH 2.9 and 8.

Perfect Stage of Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc.
Nature, 1960THE perfect stage of Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc. has been reported by several workers1–6; however, the conditions under which its development takes place have not been investigated thoroughly. An attempt was therefore made to find out the various nutritional and environmental factors which affect the development of the perfect stage.

Variability in Indian isolates ofSclerotium rolfsii
Mycologia, 2002Variability among 26 isolates of Sclerotium rolfsii collected from various hosts/soil samples and localities in India is reported. The isolates varied in colony morphology, mycelial growth rate, sclerotium formation, teleomorph production and sclerotial size and color. Out of 26 isolates, only 4 produced the teleomorph stage on Cyperus rotundus rhizome
