Post-outburst spectra of a stellar-merger remnant of V1309 Scorpii: from a twin of V838 Monocerotis to a clone of V4332 Sagittarii [PDF]
We present optical and infrared spectroscopy of V1309 Sco, an object that erupted in 2008 in a stellar-merger event. During the outburst, V1309 Sco displayed characteristics typical of red transients, a class of objects similar to V838 Mon.

Distance and Reddening of the Enigmatic Gamma-ray-Detected Nova V1324 Sco [PDF]
It has recently been discovered that some, if not all, classical novae emit GeV gamma-rays during outburst. Despite using an unreliable method to determine its distance, previous work showed that nova V1324 Sco was the most gamma-ray luminous of all ...

Nova Sco 2001 (V1178 Sco) [PDF]
We present intermediate resolution spectroscopy and near infrared photometry of NOVA Sco 2001 (V1178 Sco), which was first detected May 13th 2001 and reported June 21th 2001, and obtained by us the same day.

Erratum: The helium abundance in the ejecta of U Scorpii [PDF]
U Scorpii (U Sco) is a recurrent nova which has been observed in outburst on 10 occasions, most recently in 2010. We present near-infrared (near-IR) and optical spectroscopy of the 2010 outburst of U Sco.

In this paper, a novel combined heat and power (CHP) system is proposed in which the waste heat from a supercritical CO2 recompression Brayton cycle (sCO2) is recovered by a LiBr-H2O absorption heat pump (AHP). Thermodynamic and exergoeconomic models are

Parallelized Stochastic Cutoff Method for Long-Range Interacting Systems
We present a method to parallelize the stochastic cutoff (SCO) method, which is a Monte-Carlo method for long-range interacting systems. After interactions are eliminated by the SCO method, we subdivide the lattice into non-interacting interpenetrating ...
