Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift (neue Folge), 1994 Four new species of neotropical bark beetles are described. One of it belongs to the genus Pteleobius, living phloephagous in branches of Araucaria angustifolia, named Pteleobius paranaensis n. sp. The other three new species belong to the xylomycetophagous genus Sampsonius, these are Sampsonius giganteus n. sp., S. prolongatus n. sp. and S. pedrosai n.
