Nei dintorni della città di Vinkovci, situata nella parte orientale dell'odierna Croazia continentale, sono stati evidenziati numerosi siti risalenti al tardo La Tène, uno dei quali è Blato. Dapprima considerato una necropoli lateniana, il sito di Blato si mostra dopo recenti scavi come un abitato in pianura, tipo finora inedito in territorio scordisco.

Contacts between the Boii and the Scordisci: The Case of the Oberleiserberg Type Fibulae
2016A small group of Late La Tène cast fibulae originates from the area of southeastern Pannonia. With the exception of the find from the site of Blato, near Vinkovci, which belongs to the Oberleiserberg type, the fibulae from Dalj, Novi Jankovci and Novi Banovci can be described as copies of the same type produced in local workshops.
