Non-Equilibrium Scour Evolution around an Emerged Structure Exposed to a Transient Wave
The present study evaluates the performance of two numerical approaches in estimating non-equilibrium scour patterns around a non-slender square structure subjected to a transient wave, by comparing numerical findings with experimental data.

This study proposes an eco‐friendly coal permeability enhancement technique by utilizing mine waste gangue as an abrasive in high‐pressure water jets. Integrating erosion experiments with smoothed particle hydrodynamics‐finite element method coupled simulations, the research study elucidates the flow field dynamics and a nonlinear solid–liquid ...

Effect of Sequential and Combined Space‐Based Stressors on Perovskite Solar Cell Stability
A correlation between loss in performance and mobile ion concentration has been established by sequential stressing of perovskite solar cells under Low Earth Orbit conditions with exposure to protons, light, and thermal cycling. It is shown that the loss in performance increases when ion concentration increases and vice versa.

ABSTRACT Seismic fragility assessment of reinforced concrete (RC) bridges exposed to corrosive environments must reliably capture time‐dependent deterioration impacts. Climate change compounds this challenge through nonstationary temperature and humidity variations that accelerate bridge corrosion.

Abstract Background Ossifying fibromas are uncommon in horses and complete surgical excision with premaxillectomy, maxillectomy or mandibulectomy is recommended. Piezosurgery has been previously used in equines only in one study. Objective To report a case of ossifying fibroma treated with piezosurgery and to describe its follow‐up.

Vaginal host–microbe signatures linked to placental outcomes in mares
Abstract Background Ascending placentitis is a leading cause of late‐term pregnancy loss in mares. Although pathogens are presumed to ascend from the caudal reproductive tract, the association between the vaginal microbiome and placentitis has not been systematically examined.

Abstract Background Lamellar endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress occurs in hyperinsulinemia‐associated and sepsis‐related laminitis. Adiponectin is associated with reduced laminitis risk and inhibits ER stress in other species. Objectives To induce ER stress in ex vivo equine lamellar cells using pharmacological agents.

Simulation analysis of river channel evolution after small dam removal: a case study of Xihe dam
As the serving time of low-head dams prolonged, security, economy and ecology issues of these dams have become increasingly prominent. For small dams with little repair values, forced retirement or demotion would be the best management measure.
