Scour diagnosis index based on cross-correlation analysis of bridge dynamic response under vehicle braking

Advances in Structural Engineering, 2022
Several innovative scour diagnostic indexes are proposed based on the cross-correlation analysis for bridge dynamic response excited by vehicle braking. Firstly, a vehicle-bridge coupled vibration model considering vehicle braking is established and its accuracy is verified by a field loading test.

Characterization of Creep Feed Consumption and Its Subsequent Effects on Immune Response, Scouring Index and Performance of Weanling Pigs

Journal of Animal Science, 1989
Four trials were conducted to characterize the consumption of creep feed by nursing pigs and the effects of creep feeding (from 10 d to weaning at 28 d) on the immune response, scouring index and subsequent performance of weanling pigs. Pigs were fed a ground 20% CP corn-soybean meal-whey diet with 1.0% chromic oxide (control, 9 litters), this diet ...

The effect of reduced nocturnal air temperature and feed additives on the performance, immune response and scouring index of weanling pigs

Journal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, 1988
AbstractA 2 × 3 factorial arrangement of treatments was used to measure the effects of nursery temperature and feed additives on performance and health of pigs. Pigs (n = 120) were housed in one of two nurseries at a constant (29.5°C; reduced 2°C weekly) or reduced nocturnal temperature (RNT) after week 1.

2D Probabilistic Scour Model for Predicting the Time-Rate of Scour for Spillways and Overtopping Dams Based on the Erodibility Index Method

Time-dependent prediction of rock scour for dams and spillways has largely remained elusive given limited available data on rock erosion rate parameters in literature. Recently, a theoretical framework for determining the rate of rock scour was developed by Annandale (2025), enhancing the Erodibility Index Method (EIM).
