Experimental investigation of scour downstream of a type A trapezoidal piano key weir under free and submerged flow conditions

open access: yesJournal of Hydrology and Hydromechanics
In this paper, the scour downstream of a trapezoidal Piano key weir (PKW) is investigated under free and submerged flow conditions. For this purpose, an experimental model was used in a laboratory channel with a length of 10 m, width of 0.75 m, and ...

Radiation‐Resistant Kr‐Selective MOF With Record Kr/Xe Selectivity at Elevated Pressure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The separation of Kr/Xe from spent nuclear fuel off‐gas is critical, yet most current adsorbents exhibit Xe‐Kr co‐adsorption under elevated pressures, posing challenges for industrial pressure swing adsorption processes. Herein, we present and evaluate a metal‐organic framework, CALF‐20M‐w, engineered for molecular sieving separation of Kr/Xe ...

Nanomaterial effects on minimizing the local scour around bridge pier in curved channels

open access: yesWater Science
Local scour around bridge piers is considered one of the most common reasons for bridge failure. In this article, experiments were conducted using nanomaterial with non-cohesive soil to reduce scour around bridge piers in a curved channel with a 30 ...

Dynamic Self‐Clickable Decellularized Matrix Hydrogels for Regulating Vascularity and Enhancing Muscle Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dynamic decellularized hydrogels are prepared using bovine decellularized small intestine submucosa (SIS) norbornene (dSIS‐NB). Bovine dSIS contained significant amounts of disulfide‐rich fibrillin‐I, enabling ‘self‐clickable’ thiol‐norbornene gelation and spatiotemporal tuning of hydrogel physicochemical properties.

The Spatiotemporal Genetic Architecture of Seed Vigor in Upland Cotton

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Leveraging the semi‐automated SeedRanger platform, we profiled the germination kinetics of 356 cotton accessions at a 30‐min interval. This high‐throughput phenomic approach delineated a temporal genetic network comprising 541 stage‐specific loci. Crucially, functional validation identified FLA2 as a pivotal, auxin‐modulated regulator that orchestrates
