Heat Transfer and Flow Structure Characteristics of Regenerative Cooling in a Rectangular Channel Using Supercritical CO2

open access: yesAerospace, 2023
At an extremely high Mach number, the regenerative cooling of traditional kerosene cannot meet the requirement of the heat sink caused by aerodynamic heating and internal combustion in a scramjet propulsion system.

Numerical Study on the Non-Oscillatory Unstarted Flow in a Scramjet Inlet-Isolator Model

open access: yesAerospace, 2022
For successful scramjet engine operations, it is important to understand the mechanism of the inlet unstart phenomenon. Among various unstarted flow patterns in hypersonic inlets, the mechanism of low-amplitude oscillatory unstarted flow is still unclear.

Microstructure, mechanical, and thermal properties of compositionally complex (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2‒LaB6 ceramics

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology, Volume 23, Issue 1, February 2026.
Abstract Novel compositionally complex borides, (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2 and (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2‒LaB6, were fabricated using spark plasma sintering process. (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2‒LaB6 exhibits a dual‐phase microstructure, in which (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2 is a primary phase with the hexagonal structure and LaB6 is a secondary phase with a cubic structure.

Numerical Study of Staged Transverse Injection of Sonic Jets into Supersonic Crossflows behind a Step [PDF]

open access: yesمجله مدل سازی در مهندسی, 2019
Efficient combustion in the Scramjet combustors depends on the proper air-fuel mixing. Sufficient mixing between the supersonic airstream and the fuel jet is critical for designing of scramjet engines, and this is due to the very short residence ...
