Spatiotemporal Multi‐Omic Mapping Reveals Liver‐Muscle Metabolic Crosstalk in Cancer Cachexia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The interactive CCAtlas platform delineates cross‐species, spatiotemporal, and sex‐specific molecular dynamics and metabolic rewiring across organs during cancer cachexia. Hepatic Gamt downregulation curtails hepatic creatine synthesis to trigger systemic creatine insufficiency and consequent skeletal muscle atrophy in LLC tumour‐bearing mice ...

Targeting the KAT7/H3K14ac/RAC2 Axis Mediates OXPHOS to Promote Stemness Maintenance and Malignancy in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SOX2 upregulates KAT7 in glioma stem cells, where KAT7 deposits H3K14 acetylation at the RAC2 promoter to activate RAC2 transcription. RAC2‐GTP subsequently promotes PAK1/2/3 phosphorylation, increasing tricarboxylic acid cycle flux and mitochondrial respiration to support glioblastoma malignancy.

Behaviour of a scrap tire wall for slope stabilization

open access: yesGeotecnia, 2001
This paper describes a research project on a new technique for stabilizing soil slopes, using scrap tires. An experimental retaining wall, 60 m long and 4 m high, was constructed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The wall is made of horizontal layers of tires, which are filled with compacted soil. Adjacent tires are tied together with wire or rope. A 2 m high

Transient Sleep Deprivation Induces Persistent Auditory Neuropathy via ROS‐Initiated Neuroinflammation and BK Channel Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sleep disturbance severity closely tracks hearing loss in a clinical cohort, yet the mechanistic link remains unclear. Acute sleep deprivation is shown to trigger transient cochlear oxidative stress that switches into a self‐sustaining neuroinflammatory state, suppressing BK channels and causing irreversible synaptopathy.

Crystallized Domain Walls in HfO2 Enable Chessboard‐Type Ultra‐High‐Dense Ferroelectric Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In general, DWs in ferroelectrics stabilize within a widely spread transition region between two oppositely polarized domains, which severely limits the achievable memory density. Here, the reported DWs in HfO2 constitute perfect crystalline structures along arbitrary crystallographic directions, enabling the formation of the narrowest square‐shaped ...
