Scrape-off layer measurements in DIII-D
Journal of Nuclear Materials, 1992In this paper, scrape-off layer measurements in DIII-D are presented as a function of the main discharge plasma parameters. A systematic study is under way to understand and predict the behavior of the edge and divertor plasma in DIII-D and this scaling behavior will be crucial for the design of ITER.

Physics Letters A, 2001Abstract Qualitative physical picture describing fast convective radial plasma transport in tokamak scrape off layer is suggested. It is based on the hypothesis of detachment of high density plasma blobs from the bulk plasma due to turbulence effects resulting in plasma stratification in the region around separatrix.

Scrape-off layer turbulence modulated by Mirnov oscillations
