To display or print a continuous tone image on a bi-level device, the image goes through a halftoning process. For best rendition, the halftoning algorithm should adapt to the output device. We review printer dot models, and the utilization of printer dot model in generating halftone screens, especially frequency-modulated (FM) screens.

Inkjet Printing Methodologies for Drug Screening
Analytical Chemistry, 2010We show for the first time a contactless, low-cost, and rapid drug screening methodology by employing inkjet printing for molecular dispensing in a microarray format. Picoliter drops containing a model substrate (d-glucose)/inhibitor (d-glucal) couple were accurately dispensed on a single layer consisting of the enzymatic target (glucose oxidase ...

Screens for screen printing of electronic circuits
Microelectronics Reliability, 1974Abstract The present paper compares the properties of various screen material for printing thick film inks and pastes required to delineate thick film integrated circuits. Polyester monofilament screens possess well balanced properties of resiliency, print life, shock absorption, sufficiently low moisture absorption, etc.

Fundamentals of Screens for Electronics Screen Printing
Circuit World, 1990Screen printing is widely used in electronics production and is the characteristic process of thick film manufacture. The correct choice of screen is most important if good quality prints of the correct thickness are to be achieved. Mesh and emulsion characteristics and the screen imaging process are discussed.

The requirement relating to high quality reproduction of graphic products visual data represents one of the most important evaluation criteria of the entire graphic product. The reproduction quality of screen prints demonstrates certain deviations which, inter alia, depend on the printing substrate and the screen ruling.
