Model tests on piled raft subjected to lateral soil movement [PDF]
Passive loadings due to lateral soil movement-induced activities are highly influencing the serviceability and safety of constructions. This research aims to investigate the influence of axial loads, sand density and the depth of moving soil on the ...

Simulation Analysis on Pile-driving Process of Anti-flood Bionic Screw Pile
In order to reduce the dynamic energy consumption of pile-driving of the anti-flood screw piles, the unsmoothed surface is applied to the screw pile tip to form an anti-flood bionic screw pile.

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Study on Bearing Mechanism of Steel Screw Pile
In order to study the bearing mechanism of a steel screw pile (SSP), a 3D-FEM of “SSP-stratum” was established based on the large-scale general finite element analysis platform ABAQUS.

The Peierls--Nabarro FE model in two-phase microstructures -- a comparison with atomistics
This paper evaluates qualitatively as well as quantitatively the accuracy of a recently proposed Peierls--Nabarro Finite Element (PN-FE) model for dislocations by a direct comparison with an equivalent molecular statics simulation.

Effects of axial loads and soil density on pile group subjected to triangular soil movement [PDF]
Laboratory tests have been carried out to investigate the response of 2x2 pile group subjected to triangular soil movement. The pile group was instrumented with displacement and tilting devices at the pile cap and strain gauges on two piles of the group.
