Precipitation Simulations of the O‐Phase in Ti2AlNb Alloys Processed by Laser Powder Bed Fusion
Simulated and experimental evolution of the O‐phase volume fraction during postprocessing of a Ti‐21Al‐25Nb (at.%) alloy processed by laser powder bed fusion. With results of sensitivity to input parameters from a thorough and quantified analysis, the interfacial energy matrix/precipitate is the most relevant input parameter for the simulation of the O‐

L'organisation comme mode d'existence
This article explores Bruno Latour's innovative perspectives on the study of organisations. It goes back to his speech at EGOS in 1993. In it he asked what the sociology of science could contribute to the study of organisation.

Dislocation cutting of γ′ precipitates in Ni‐based superalloys is investigated by linking atomistic simulations with discrete dislocation dynamics. The critical cutting stress is shown to be governed by the antiphase boundary energy, while line tension effects promote edge‐preferred cutting.

To Script or Not to Script: Rethinking Pseudolus as Playwright
In Plautus's Pseudolus, the trickster slave Pseudolus, contemplating his next move, turns to the audience and delivers what Niall Slater (2000, 103) has dubbed the "poet soliloquy" (401-5): sed quasi poeta, tabulas quom cepit sibi, quaerit quod nusquam gentiumst, reperit tamen, facit illud veri simile quod mendacium est, nunc ego poeta fiam: viginti ...

Digitalizing electroplating requires both domain knowledge and interoperability. This work introduces PlatOn, a domain ontology for trivalent chromium plating and coating characterization, and a hybrid pipeline that aligns it to a mid‐level reference ontology by combining eight similarity metrics with language model reasoning. Expert‐validated mappings

Geometrical modifications on nitrocellulose membranes can result in observable differences in signal intensity relative to a reference membrane (top and bottom left). Using two reference experiments, we have developed a theoretical model that can reproduce the experimentally observed flow changes and provide information on membrane parameters, e.g ...

Artificial laughter: V. Pelevin’s "iPhuck 10"
The article is an attempt at studying the laughter of AI in V. Pelevin’s novel "iPhuck 10"(2017). Porfiry Petrovich’s laughter is examined from two angles, from its semantics and from its pragmatics. The problem of AI laughter in the novel leads not only
