Numerical Simulation Analysis for Scroll of Scroll Compressor Based on ABAQUS

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
In this paper, the finite method is applied and ABAQUS software is used, the vortex flow field is loaded as boundary condition of wraps. The stress and deformation in scroll under the action of gas pressure, temperature load and both of them is analyzed, the stress distribution and deformation of wraps in different shaft rotation angles is discussed ...

Performance simulation of scroll compressors

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part A: Journal of Power and Energy, 2002
The scroll compressor is widely used in air conditioning and heat pump plant because it combines high efficiency and reliability with low noise and vibration. This paper describes a simulation model for estimating the performance of such machines. The model includes consideration of both the compression process and the dynamic behaviour of the moving ...

Structural dynamic analysis of the orbiting scroll wrap in the scroll compressor

Frontiers in Energy, 2013
A deep analysis of orbiting scroll wraps was conducted in this paper by using ANSYS and SolidWorks. Through the modal analysis, the involute of the circle profile orbiting scroll wrap demonstrated a large span in natural frequencies, which led to more superiority in avoiding structural resonances.

Scroll profiles in scroll compressors: General criteria and error sensitivity

International Journal of Refrigeration, 2013
Abstract General criteria for scroll profiles that include the evolute, orbiting movement, differential, and integrative conditions are proposed. The profile error sensitivity is defined based on the composite meshing error and meshing clearances of the scroll profiles.

Family design of scroll compressors with optimization

Applied Thermal Engineering, 2006
Abstract This paper proposes a systematic design method for developing a family of scroll-type compressor (STC). Except of using the general design optimization model includes multi-variable, direct search, inequality constraints, both interactive session and discrete variable design optimization skills have also been employed in this study.

Scroll Compressor Wall Strength Improvement

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1996
<div class="htmlview paragraph">Scroll wall strength is of critical importance to compressor reliability and durability. This is most critical at the center portion of the scroll wall as it is exposed to the highest working gas pressure in the A/C system as well as to high discharge gas temperatures.</div> <div class="htmlview paragraph"&

The Strength Model of Small Parameter Scroll Wrap in a Scroll Compressor

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
The paper analyzed the pressures and the temperatures in compression chambers for calculation of bending fatigue strength , and a strength model is proposed. For the small parameter scroll wraps, the pressure loads are of π-region pressures which have a normal angle interval of π, the number of acting regions for pressure loads is equal to the number ...
