Ultrasound plays an important role in the diagnostic workup of scrotal diseases. It can differentiate a testicular mass from an extratesticular mass and determine whether the mass is cystic, solid, or complex. Using this information a likely diagnosis can be ascertained.

Perineuromas are generally slow-growing benign tumors composed of perineurial cells. Tumors usually present as a painless nodule in the deep soft tissue. Treatment is complete resection, and previous cases have followed a benign course. The location is commonly the trunk or extremity. We present only the second case of a perineuromal scrotal mass.

Little has appeared in the literature on tumors of the scrotum proper, owing to the fact that they are very uncommon. Many authors who have reported on tumors of the scrotum have included tumors of the testicle proper, the testicular tunics and the epididymis and neoplasms originating from the spermatic cord.
