Ecol EvolThere are 36 genera with 69 species bamboo‐feeding true bugs in China. Their spacial diversity pattern showed preference in South China, with higher diversity areas located in the tropics and its surrounding areas. Abstract The Bambusoideae subfamily, originating in the late Cretaceous, has evolved to include over 1500 species globally.
