Scutellonema Siamense N. Sp. (Tylenchida: Hoplolaiminae) From Thailand

Scutellonema siamense n. sp. from rhizosphere soil of pineapple near Udorn, Thailand, is described and figured. It differs from S. brachyttrum in the truncate head, the presence of a functional spermatheca in the female and in the abundance of males.

The generic diagnosis of Scutellonema is emended and four nominal species redescribed from type material. S. blaberum and S. dioscorea are synonymized with S. bradys. Seven new species are proposed. Scutellonema christiei is excluded from this genus.
