Quadrupole-hexadecapole correlations in neutron-rich samarium and gadolinium isotopes [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review C 111, 024301 (2025)
We present an extensive study of quadrupole-hexadecapole correlation effects in even-even Sm and Gd isotopes with neutron number $N=88-106$. The calculations are performed in the framework of the Gogny energy density functional (EDF) with the D1S parametrization and the $sdg$ interacting boson model (IBM).

Observation of Mobility Above 2000 cm2/V s in 2DEG at LaInO3/BaSnO3 Interface by Electric‐Double‐Layer Gating

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The 2D carrier density of LaInO3/BaSnO3 2DEG to 1014 cm−2 by ionic‐liquid gating is increased and we found the resulting mobility enhancement up to 2100 cm2 V−1 s−1 at 10 K, which is consistent with the fact that 2‐dimensionality offers more effective screening for defects.

OSDG 2.0: a multilingual tool for classifying text data by UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Despite concrete indicators and targets, monitoring the progress of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) remains a challenge, given the many different actors, initiatives, and institutions involved. OSDG, an open-source classification tool aims to help navigate the SDG related ambiguities through a simple and easy to use application.

Synthesis of Pt Carbon Aerogel Electrocatalysts with Multiscale Porosity Derived from Cellulose and Chitosan Biopolymer Aerogels via Supercritical Deposition for Hydrogen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
The synthesis of platinumcarbon aerogel electrocatalysts with multiscale porosity derived from biopolymer aerogels via supercritical deposition is presented. The electrocatalysts demonstrate similar overpotentials to commercial alternatives with significantly higher platinum loadings, while exhibiting superior stability due to enhanced porosity ...

Sustainability assessment of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite broadband megaconstellations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
The growth of megaconstellations is rapidly increasing the number of rocket launches. While Low Earth Orbit (LEO) broadband satellites help to connect unconnected communities and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), there are also significant environmental emissions impacts from burning rocket fuels. We present sustainability analytics for
