The Sustainable Potential of Single‐Ion Conducting Polymers

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
Single‐ion conducting polymers (SICPs) advance sustainable energy storage by combining CO2‐derived polycarbonate synthesis with efficient thiol‐ene and networking strategies for ionic functionality. Their selective lithium‐ion transport enables applications as electrolytes, binders, and protective interlayers in next‐generation batteries.

Why aren't we teaching this? Smart local energy systems and the young person's perspective

open access: yesThe Curriculum Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract With the UK government's target of Net Zero by 2050, alongside the rising cost of energy in the UK, it is imperative that public opinion aligns with and promotes affordable, greener energy systems. Within this dialogue, young people's voices and lived experience are needed to deepen the impact of energy policy intervention strategies.

Rethinking Knowledge Cumulation: Foregrounding Epistemic Justice in Environmental Governance Research

open access: yesEnvironmental Policy and Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Social science inquiry into environmental governance is theoretically and methodologically diverse, resulting in a large array of isolated pieces of knowledge. Scholars' reflections around knowledge cumulation focus on how separate bits of knowledge can feasibly be integrated to build a broader, consensual state of knowledge.

A New Anion Exchange Membranes Pretreatment Protocol for Hydrogen Production by Water Electrolysis

open access: yesEnergy Technology, EarlyView.
This article investigates the effect of pretreatment protocols on the TokuyamaA210 anion exchange membrane for hydrogen production via water electrolysis. A novel water‐based method improves efficiency by 2.6% and reduces reagent use. Characterisation techniques, including scanning electron microscope/energy‐dispersive X‐ray detector and Tafel slope ...
