The 10‐year stability of three subscale scores of the Self‐Report of the Effects of Alcohol measure and their relationship to changes in drinking quantities over the same period

open access: yesAlcohol, Clinical and Experimental Research, Volume 50, Issue 4, April 2026.
The Self‐Report of the Effects of Alcohol (SRE) questionnaire records the number of drinks needed for effects across three life periods; a higher number of drinks required for effects indicates higher risks for future alcohol problems. This paper reports changes in SRE subscale scores measured five times over 10 years in 331 drinkers.

Artificial Light at Night Consistently Impacts Avian Physiology and Behaviour: A Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesEcology Letters, Volume 29, Issue 4, April 2026.
Artificial light at night (ALAN) is a major anthropogenic pressure across the tree of life, and avian responses are highly variable in both direction and magnitude. We used a meta‐analytical approach to disentangle ALAN effects across avian functional traits underpinning physiology, behaviour and life‐histories, while accounting for inter‐ and ...

Legitimising the Food Regime in Post‐Socialist Croatia: A Critical Discourse Analysis of Croatia's Agricultural Strategies, 1991 to 2013

open access: yesJournal of Agrarian Change, Volume 26, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT What role has the state played in the establishment of the current food regime in a post‐socialist setting? Focusing on Croatia, I undertake a critical discourse analysis of the national agricultural strategies enacted during the neoliberal transition between 1991 and 2013.

Deriving All‐Hour Aerosol Optical Depth Over China From Automated Visibility Observations

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 6, 28 March 2026.
Abstract All‐hour aerosol monitoring remains challenging due to limited spatiotemporal coverage of current observational systems. Here we developed a machine‐learning based framework that derives 24‐hr aerosol optical depth (AOD) from automated visibility measurements.

Robust Adaptive Model Predictive Control for Tracking in Interconnected Systems via Distributed Optimization

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 36, Issue 5, Page 2907-2926, 25 March 2026.
ABSTRACT This study presents a novel Distributed Robust Adaptive Model Predictive Control (DRAMPC) for tracking in multi‐agent systems. The framework is designed to work with dynamically coupled subsystems and limited communication, which is restricted to local neighborhoods.

A randomized phase II trial of gemcitabine, nab‐paclitaxel, cisplatin with or without a medically supervised ketogenic diet for patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer

open access: yesCancer, Volume 132, Issue 6, 15 March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background A randomized phase II screening trial of gemcitabine, nab‐paclitaxel, and cisplatin with a medically supervised ketogenic diet (MSKD) versus usual diet (non‐MSKD) was conducted in patients with treatment‐naive metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).

Analyzing uncertainty in probable maximum precipitation estimation with large ensemble climate simulation data

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management
This study aimed to evaluate probable maximum precipitation (PMP) estimated using surface dew points (SDP) or actual precipitable water obtained from upper‐air data (UAD) in the moisture‐maximization method with the help of sufficient extreme ...
