Pectoral fins of bichirs encompass the so‐called dental plates – unique dermal skeletal elements with individual odontodes identical to the oral teeth. Abstract The dermal skeleton appeared early in vertebrate evolution in the form of mineralized skin denticles composed of tooth‐like units—odontodes.

Improving the linear relaxation of maximum k-cut with semidefinite-based constraints
We consider the maximum k-cut problem that involves partitioning the vertex set of a graph into k subsets such that the sum of the weights of the edges joining vertices in different subsets is maximized.

Solving SDP's in Non-commutative Algebras Part I: The Dual-Scaling Algorithm [PDF]
Semidefinite programming (SDP) may be viewed as an extension of linear programming (LP), and most interior point methods (IPM s) for LP can be extended to solve SDP problems. However, it is far more difficult to exploit data structures (especially ...

A Small-Cell Caching System in Mobile Cellular Networks With LoS and NLoS Channels
Small-cell caching utilizes the embedded storage of small-cell base stations (SBS) to cache popular network contents, for the purpose of reducing duplicate transmissions in mobile networks and offloading the data traffic from macro-cell base stations. In
