Tunable multi-resonance of terahertz metamaterial using split-disk resonators
We present three tunable multi-resonance of terahertz (THz) metamaterials. They are composed of single-, dual-, and triple-split-disk resonators (SDRs) on Si substrates, which are denoted as SDR-1, SDR-2, and SDR-3, respectively.

The essence and main characteristics of electronic attack (EA) are examined, as well as its place in the electronic warfare (EW). The main elements of EA are examined, such as jamming, spoofing and electronic neutralization of enemy radio devices. A definition and the main terms for software-defined radio (SDR) are given.

RaPro: A Novel 5G Rapid Prototyping System Architecture
We propose a novel fifth-generation (5G) rapid prototyping (RaPro) system architecture by combining FPGA-privileged modules from a software defined radio (or FPGA-coprocessor) and high-level programming language for advanced algorithms from multi-core ...

ABSTRACT Bark beetles are small insects that inhabit the bark of trees. When their population increases excessively, they can weaken the trees and cause their death. In México, federal regulations obligate forest landowners to carry out sanitary logging to control bark beetle outbreaks in adherence to official procedures.

Splitting of the Dipole and Spin-Dipole Resonances
Cross sections for the 90,92,94Zr(p,n) reactions were measured at energies of 79.2 and 119.4 MeV. A phenomenological model was developed to describe the variation with bombarding energy of the position of the L=1 peak observed in these and other (p,n ...

ABSTRACT Sediment connectivity between source areas and the main streams or local sinks is a complex and dynamic process, especially in large basins due to multiple heterogeneities and interactions between connectivity components. Sediment connectivity indices are promising tools to investigate sediment transport, especially in data‐scarce or large ...

Abstract Consistent monitoring of seawater spectrophotometric pH on the total hydrogen ion scale (pHT) has been questioned by an evolving method, with changes in parameterization and the purity of the meta‐cresol purple (mCP). Using real seawater samples, we demonstrate that spectrophotometric pHT measurements obtained with unpurified (UNPUR) and ...

Tourism as a driver of economic and social development in underdeveloped regions
Abstract Cross‐border cooperations have been usually approached by developing trade agreements between international regions to upgrade their socioeconomic conditions and promote international tourism flows in territories. However, little attention has been paid to the role that tourist companies play in underprivileged territories highly dependent on ...
