Summary Background The prevalence of allergies to beta‐lactam antibiotics is significantly overestimated based on anamnestic data ‐ with significant medical and economic consequences. The aim of the study was to determine the frequency of immediate and delayed type reactions to beta‐lactam antibiotics in order to optimize diagnostics and therapy.
