Heavy is the Crown: Crown Ether Modulation of Cobalt Porphyrin CO2 Electroreduction in Zero‐Gap Electrolyzers

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
The implementation of crown ethers into the ligand of cobalt porphyrins benefits the electrochemical CO2 reduction in the several ways: (1) the reduction potential is lowered in presence of K+; (2) it boosts the CO generation in Zero‐Gap Electrolyzers and (3) ensures complex stability during electrolysis.

Numerical Analysis of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Performance With a Lung Serpentine Flow Field

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) are regarded as the best clean energy conversion technology because of their smaller number of emissions and higher efficiency. This numerical investigation used two different flow channel designs—the serpentine flow field (SFF) and the lung serpentine flow field (LSFF)—with active areas of 5 by 5 cm.

Magnetic Pinecone Biochar‐Activated Peroxymonosulfate for Efficient Sulfamethoxazole Degradation: Performance, Mechanism, and Toxicity Analysis

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study successfully prepared magnetic iron/cobalt codoped biochar catalyst (CFSBC) using a one‐step calcination method. The morphology and structure of the material were systematically characterized using SEM, XRD, FTIR, TEM, BET, Raman, VSM, and XPS techniques. The effects of key parameters such as catalyst dosage, peroxymonosulfate (PMS)
