The impact of frailty syndrome on skeletal muscle histology: preventive effects of exercise
Frailty syndrome exacerbates skeletal muscle degeneration via increased ECM deposition and myofiber loss. This study, using a murine model, demonstrates that endurance exercise attenuates these histopathological alterations, preserving muscle integrity. Findings support exercise as a viable strategy to counteract frailty‐induced musculoskeletal decline

Phase 1, First‐In‐Human, Single‐/Multiple‐Ascending Dose Study of Iluzanebart in Healthy Volunteers
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of iluzanebart, a fully human monoclonal antibody TREM2 (triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2) agonist, after single‐ (SAD) and multiple‐ascending‐dose (MAD) administration.

An optical model for the microwave properties of sea ice [PDF]
The complex refractive index of sea ice is modeled and used to predict the microwave signatures of various sea ice types. Results are shown to correspond well with the observed values of the complex index inferred from dielectic constant and dielectric ...

Influence of Arctic Sea Ice Loss in Autumn Compared to That in Winter on the Atmospheric Circulation
There is growing evidence that Arctic sea ice loss affects the large‐scale atmospheric circulation. Some studies suggest that reduced autumn sea ice may be a precursor to severe midlatitude winters.

Universal Proteomic Signature After Exercise‐Induced Muscle Injury in Muscular Dystrophies
ABSTRACT Objective Several neuromuscular disorders (NMDs) are characterized by progressive muscle damage and are marked by the elevation of circulating muscle proteins from activity‐related injury. Despite a diverse array of genetic drivers, many NMDs share similar patterns of exercise intolerance and higher concentrations of muscle injury proteins ...

A direct helicopter EM sea ice thickness inversion, assessed with synthetic and field data [PDF]
Accuracy and precision of helicopter electromagneticHEM sounding are the essential parameters for HEM seaicethickness profiling. For sea-ice thickness research, thequality of HEM ice thickness estimates must be better than10 cm to detect potential ...

Exponentially decaying modes and long-term prediction of sea ice concentration using Koopman Mode Decomposition [PDF]
Sea ice cover in the Arctic and Antarctic is an important indicator of changes in the climate, with important environmental, economic and security consequences. The complexity of the spatio-temporal dynamics of sea ice makes it difficult to assess the temporal nature of the changes - e.g. linear or exponential - and their precise geographical loci.

Evaluating Impacts of Recent Arctic Sea Ice Loss on the Northern Hemisphere Winter Climate Change
Wide disagreement among individual modeling studies has contributed to a debate on the role of recent sea ice loss in the Arctic amplification of global warming and the Siberian wintertime cooling trend.

ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Ofatumumab, a fully human anti‐CD20 monoclonal antibody, is effective in reducing relapses and disability progression in patients with multiple sclerosis. This study aimed to examine immune profile changes associated with ofatumumab in a prospective cohort of Chinese patients with relapsing–remitting multiple ...
