Microstructure Modification of Additively Manufactured Mo–9Si–8B by Annealing and Its Effects on High‐Temperature Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Postbuild annealing systematically modifies the phase fractions and morphology of EB‐PBF processed Mo–9Si–8B. Quantitative microstructure–property correlations reveal how controlled phase evolution enhances high‐temperature compressive strength and creep resistance.

Uniform Amorphization of Crystalline Silicon Surfaces Enabled by Deep Ultraviolet Femtosecond Laser Pulses

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Deep‐UV (258 nm) femtosecond pulses enable uniform amorphous silicon writing on Si(100)/(111) with a six‐fold larger fluence amorphization window than NIR methods. Optimized fluence and overlap yield 20–45 nm uniform and continuous amorphous layers. Microscopy shows sharp interfaces, and real‐time reflectivity reveals nanosecond melt–resolidification ...

Dependency Investigation of Sea Surface Temperature on Sea Bottom Temperature and Sea Surface Salinity

2019 Innovations in Power and Advanced Computing Technologies (i-PACT), 2019
Sea Surface Temperature is the most popular parameter under analysis to sense the variations in Sea. Better sensors clubbed with still better recording instruments, over the period of time, have made analysis easier for the researchers to investigate the dependencies amongst various parameters.

Sea surface temperature simulation and forecast

International Journal of Parallel, Emergent and Distributed Systems, 2015
Unconventional computing of sea surface temperature SST was once featured by NASA as a unique merger of science and art. Our approach led to a discovery that just one geographical point could be sufficient to track global anomalies of SST based on El Nino Southern Oscillation ENSO. Such single point in the Pacific Ocean off of the island of Isabella in

Sea Surface Temperature

1990
Satellite Sea Surface Temperature (SST) determinations from ocean surface emission in the thermal IR portion of the spectrum have been made for a number of years (McClain, 1979; Alishouse and McClain, 1985). A number of research and operational environmental satellites have carried scanning radiometer systems that measure emitted terrestrial and ...
