Time series analysis of NOAA-4 sea surface temperature (SST) data
Remote Sensing of Environment, 1978Abstract Through time series analysis of GOSSTCOMP satellite data, time differences in the occurrence of maximum and minimum mean monthly SST's off the coast of Brazil were observed in the region of 20–28° S by 34–47° W and showed the maximum surface water temperature to lag the coastal land station (Cananeia) by two months and the minimum by one ...

Long-term changes in sea surface temperature (SST) within the southern Levantine Basin
Acta Oceanologica Sinica, 2021Knowledge of sea surface temperature (SST) behaviour is vital for long-term climate scenarios. This study highlights essential outcomes about the distinguishable and unsurprising warming of the SST along the southern border of the Levantine Basin. The analysis is based on monthly SST data for the period 1948–2018.

Sea surface temperature modelling in the Sea of Iroise: assessment of boundary conditions
Ocean Dynamics, 2013The present study investigates the sensitivity of the COupled Hydrodynamical–Ecological model for REgioNal and Shelf seas (COHERENS) to predict sea surface temperature (SST) patterns in the Sea of Iroise (western end of French Brittany) in relation to the spatial and temporal resolutions of open boundary conditions (OBCs).

Upwelling Detection in AVHRR Sea Surface Temperature (SST) Images using Neural-Network Framework
IGARSS 2008 - 2008 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2008In this paper we present a novel method for the detection and segmentation of upwelling regions in AVHRR SST data. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm on data from the Monterey Bay region, with prominent upwelling regions. A byproduct of the upwelling detection algorithm is the detection of frontal boundaries.

Temporal and spatial Sea Surface Temperature (SST) variability off the Southwest African coast
2020<p>An understanding of Benguela Nino events is important for local economy, ecosystem and ocean dynamics. Aiming to see if Benguela Nino events can be seen in observations and reproduced by the models, an investigation of sea surface temperature (SST) temporal and spatial variability was done throughout the Southwest African ...

The paper analyses the relationship between sea surface temperature (SST) and surface air temperature (SAT) measured at nine climatological stations along the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea. Climate changes, mostly manifested through the global warming effect, have strongly and seriously influenced the Adriatic Sea and its coastal region in recent ...
