Denoising of ASL Data Using Deep Learning Priors Generated From Distribution Remapping

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop an effective deep learning (DL)–based method to denoise arterial spin labeling (ASL) data. Methods Conventional DL–based ASL denoising methods often suffer from overfitting and poor generalization when training data are limited.

Neuroprotective Effects of RNS60 in TDP‐43 Pathology‐Associated Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesMuscle &Nerve, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction TDP‐43 pathology is broadly observed in the cerebral cortex of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). RNS60, an experimental treatment for acute ischemic stroke and ALS, enhanced mitochondrial biogenesis and function in other preclinical models.

Neuroprotective effects of ursodeoxycholic acid in Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease

open access: yesNeuroprotection, EarlyView.
In Parkinson's disease (PD) and Alzheimer's disease (AD), various shared pathological mechanisms exist. UDCA has been shown to exert neuroprotective effects in preclinical and clinical studies. Such effects include the mitigation of neuroinflammation as well as rescue effects on mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, impaired autophagy, and ...

Simulation Insights Into Enhanced Emitter Contact Passivation via LECO on Industrial TOPCon Solar Cells

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, EarlyView.
Numerical simulations were employed to boost industrial TOPCon cells from 25.5% to 26.07% by suppressing J0e,metal,eff without compromising ρc with a dual optimization strategy: (1) engineering the selective emitter sheet resistance (Rsh_SE) to 117 Ω/□ and (2) reducing the LECO‐induced partial metal contact ratio (fpmc) to 1%.

Application of a Presumptive Standards Approach to Evaluate Environmental Flows in a Highly Regulated River Basin

open access: yesRiver Research and Applications, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The presumptive standards approach to environmental flows offers a method to develop interim guidelines for ecological and social‐cultural flow needs. The approach is based on deriving acceptable percent‐of‐flow limits based on naturalised flows (the absence of depletion or alteration of flow), and it can be an effective precursor to a full ...
