Morphometric analysis of Syngnathus typhle head shape shows distinct geographic patterns across Baltic, North, Atlantic, and Mediterranean marine regions, driven by variation in snout length, head depth, and eye position. Findings provide a non‐invasive baseline for conservation monitoring.

Indonesia stores 2% of the world’s blue carbon in its seagrass meadows, which are under threat from human activities like coastal development. Without a long-term, large-scale monitoring effort, the continual decline and hopeful recovery of this vital ecosystem will be very difficult to track.

From occasional records to regular presence: Increasing occurrence of the bastard grunt Pomadasys incisus in the French Ligurian Sea (northwestern Mediterranean)

Abstract The bastard grunt Pomadasys incisus (Bowdich, 1825), an Atlantic teleost, has recently been recorded at multiple sites along the French Ligurian Sea. Three juveniles were captured in Villepey Lagoon, while several groups of sub‐adult and adult individuals were observed at Cagnes‐sur‐Mer and Monaco between 2020 and 2024.
