Spatula: Efficient cross-camera video analytics on large camera networks
IFIP International Information Security Conference, 2020Cameras are deployed at scale with the purpose of searching and tracking objects of interest (e.g., a suspected person) through the camera network on live videos. Such cross-camera analytics is data and compute intensive, whose costs grow with the number

Analytical methods for online searching
Online Review, 1983Analytical methods are presented to facilitate the comparison of multiple sets during an online search. The basic concept is the utilization of discrete displays of unique citations from successive formulations. The discrete displays are formulated by using Boolean NOT to remove citations from previously designated good sets.

Analytic derivation of comparisons in binary search
ACM SIGNUM Newsletter, 1997Numerous authors of programming texts and algorithms / data structures texts develop code for the binary search. The common implementation is one in which the loop contains two comparisons for three outcomes --- the key is to the left of the midpoint, to the right of the midpoint, or exactly at the midpoint --- Implementation A below.

Agent-Based Distributed Analytical Search
2015We describe here an agent-based Distributed Analytical Search (DAS) tool to search and query distributed “big data” sources regardless of data’s location, content or format. DAS semantically analyzes natural language queries from a web-based user interface.

Analytical approach to the duration of search for different patterns
SympoTIC '04. Joint 1st Workshop on Mobile Future & Symposium on Trends In Communications (IEEE Cat. No.04EX877), 2005An analytical approach to a search process for a set of M fixed sequences in random data covers the problems of a search for the sequences with errors, as well as of a search for the distributed sequences. It is of greater practical interest than the formerly analysed case of search for a single sequence.

Analytical search models for optimum seeking in simulations
OR Spektrum, 1980Indepently developed analytical and simulation models of the same real world phenomenon can effectively complement each other. A simple analytical model can “learn” from a more realistic simulation model and can in turn provide “evolutionary” guidance in optimum seeking to the simulation model.

Medical Text Analytics Tools for Search and Classification
2009A text-analytic tool has been developed that accepts clinical medical data as input in order to produce patient details. The integrated tool has the following four characteristics. 1) It has a graphical user interface. 2) It has a free-text search tool that is designed to retrieve records using keywords such as “MI” for myocardial ...
