Toward Complete CO2 Electroconversion: Status, Challenges, and Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Electrocatalytic CO2 reduction and CO2 batteries face challenges in achieving complete CO2 conversion with high conversion rates and Faradaic efficiency simultaneously. Existing systems compromise one for the other with incomplete CO2 conversion and inefficiencies, hindering practical applications. This perspective highlights state‐of‐the‐art progress,

Dissecting Extreme Price Fluctuations in Mineral Fertilizers: Regularities and Co‐Movements in Light of Global Food Security

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Extreme swings in food prices can put food security at risk. Fertilizer prices are among the main drivers of food prices. This work explores the recurrent behavior of the extreme global fertilizer price fluctuations underlying food price dynamics.

Diversity and population dynamic of Tabanidae (Diptera) in the cerrado-pantanal ecotone

open access: yesBioscience Journal, 2019
Tabanid (Diptera) species are associated with the mechanical transmission of several pathogens to both domestic and wild animals around the world. The aim of this study was to evaluate the diversity, abundance, and seasonal dynamic of tabanids in the ...

The Role and Impact of Rooftop Photovoltaics in the Norwegian Energy System under Different Energy Transition Pathways

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
This study investigates the impact and cost‐competitiveness of rooftop solar power in a highly hydropower‐driven northern energy system toward 2050. The role of rooftop photovoltaics (PV) is assessed under different energy transition pathways and through a sensitivity analysis aiming to disclose important barriers to PV investments in the energy system.

Aspects of seasonality [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Botany, 2000
The seasons are astronomical, astrological, meteorological, biological, and agricultural. From a perspective outside the biological sciences, the questions of interest about plant seasonality are linked to this wider context. In this review I try to see flowering time, as one important aspect of seasonality, from an outsider's point of view, and ...

Forecasting Wholesale Electricity Market Prices Considering Bidding Conditions Using Price Sensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
It is very difficult to predict spot prices in Japan, where solar power generation has entered the market. Herein, It is attempted to predict the timing of sudden price changes by using price sensitivity, which will begin to be made public in 2021. The impact of price sensitivity on forecasting will be examined by making other variables general.
