Research progress and current status of dynamic wave propagation characteristics in rock mass: A review

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This review elucidates the velocity–dispersion–attenuation coupling mechanisms of wave propagation in rock masses, compares six representative models, and reveals how pressure, temperature, mineral composition, and anisotropy jointly control dynamic responses in complex geological media.

Triboelectric nanogenerators for vehicle intelligent cockpits

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Converting mechanical stimuli from drivers and vehicle motion into electrical signals, triboelectric nanogenerators provide promising interfaces toward passive, flexible, distributed and intelligent sensing for next‐generation automotive cockpits to support three core functional dimensions: driver state monitoring, vehicle state monitoring, and human ...

Seat belt use and cardiac arrest immediately after motor vehicle collision: Nationwide observational study

open access: yesHeliyon
Objective: Motor vehicle collisions (MVCs) are known to cause traumatic cardiac arrest; it is unclear whether seat belts prevent this. This study aimed to evaluate the association between seat belt use and immediate cardiac arrest in cases of MVCs ...

Multiphase Tectonic Process With Slab Dynamics in the Northern East China Sea Shelf Basin

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
Megasequence 1 characterised by Palaeocene extension and differential subsidence driven by the rollback of the subducting Izanagi Plate. Megasequence 2 records a kinematic reorganisation of the East Asian margin, transition from a rifting to a compressional regime.

Heterogeneous Exhumation Mechanisms in Neoproterozoic Collisional Metamorphism: P–T Constraints From Pelotas and Punta del Este Terranes, Southern Brazil and Uruguay

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
Petrography, thermobarometry, and pseudosection modelling reveal peak metamorphic conditions of 3–7.5 kbar and 520°C–800°C in Tonian‐Cryogenian orthogneisses of the Dom Feliciano Belt. Metamorphic field gradients of 27°C/km–39°C/km and variable exhumation mechanisms support correlation of these units as remnants of a Himalayan‐type Piratini Orogeny ...

Gravitational Fields and Local Moran's I in Economics: Analyzing the Spatial Structure of Labor and Capital in the USA

open access: yesInternational Studies of Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this article, we apply the notion of gravitational fields to commercial attraction, with the aim of providing valuable insights to inform the development of an econophysical methodology. We revisit the traditional notion of gravitational fields, extending it to encompass multiple economic variables and incorporating mobility and production ...

IJCM_246A: Estimating the prevalence of seat belt usage in motor cars: A descriptive cross-sectional study in Mangalore

open access: yesIndian Journal of Community Medicine
Background: Every year 1.25 million people die of road traffic accidents. Several safety measures can be taken to prevent RTAs. The SDG 2030 set the target to halve the number of global death and injuries from road traffic accidents by the year 2020. The

Effect of Visualized Respiratory Training on Patient Cooperation and Image Quality in Gadoxetic Acid Disodium‐Enhanced Liver MRI: A Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Respiratory motion artifacts impair diagnostic accuracy in gadoxetic acid disodium (Gd‐EOB‐DTPA)‐enhanced liver MRI. Conventional verbal pre‐scan breathing training often yields inconsistent patient cooperation and image quality, creating an urgent clinical need for optimized training methods.
