On the Secant method for solving nonsmooth equations
In this study we are concerned with the problem of approximating a locally unique solution of an operator equation in Banach space using the Secant method. The differentiability of the operator involved is not assumed.

Laplace transforms play an essential role in the analysis of classical non-Markovian queueing systems. The problem addressed here is whether the Laplace transform approach is still valid for determining the characteristics of such a system in a fuzzy ...

Hybrid Newton-type method for a class of semismooth equations [PDF]
In this paper, we present a hybrid method for the solution of a class of composite semismooth equations encountered frequently in applications. The method is obtained by combining a generalized finite-difference Newton method to an inexpensive direct ...

A New Secant Type Method with Quadratic-Order Convergence
Using the development of the second approximation, a variation of the standard secant technique for nonlinear problems has been developed. The iterative formula is created using Taylor series expansion, which includes an estimate of the second derivative of Θ(μ). It is demonstrated that the new approaches have quadratic convergence.

The Secant method for nondifferentiable operators [PDF]
In this paper, we use the Secant method to find a solution of a nonlinear operator equation in Banach spaces. A semilocal convergence result is obtained.
