Higher Integrability of Weak Solutions to a Class of Double Obstacle Systems

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2013
We first introduce double obstacle systems associated with the second-order quasilinear elliptic differential equation div(A(x,∇u))=div f(x,u), where A(x,∇u), f(x,u) are two n×N matrices satisfying certain conditions presented in the context, then ...

On the first boundary value problem for the class of elliptic systems degenerating at an inner point

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2001
The Dirichlet type problem for the weakly related elliptic systems of the second order degenerating at an inner point is discussed. Existence and uniqueness of the solution in the Holder class of the vector‐functions is proved.

Localized direct boundary–domain integro–differential formulations for scalar nonlinear boundary-value problems with variable coefficients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Mixed boundary-value Problems (BVPs) for a second-order quasi-linear elliptic partial differential equation with variable coefficients dependent on the unknown solution and its gradient are considered.

Comprehensive Assessment of Arterial, Tissue, and Venous Collaterals for Evaluating the Infarct Growth Rate: The Multimodal Collateral Score

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Collaterals are crucial factors that influence the infarct growth rate (IGR). We aimed to determine whether a comprehensive multimodal collateral score (MCS), incorporating collateral assessment at the arterial, tissue, and venous levels, is associated with functional independence and provides incremental prognostic value over ...

Equidistant map projections of a triaxial ellipsoid with the use of reduced coordinates

open access: yesGeodesy and Cartography, 2017
The paper presents a new method of constructing equidistant map projections of a triaxial ellipsoid as a function of reduced coordinates. Equations for x and y coordinates are expressed with the use of the normal elliptic integral of the second kind and ...

Third-order superintegrable systems separable in parabolic coordinates

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, we investigate superintegrable systems which separate in parabolic coordinates and admit a third-order integral of motion. We give the corresponding determining equations and show that all such systems are multi-separable and so admit two ...

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

Regularity Result for Quasilinear Elliptic Systems with Super Quadratic Natural Growth Condition

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We consider boundary regularity for weak solutions of second-order quasilinear elliptic systems under natural growth condition with super quadratic growth and obtain a general criterion for a weak solution to be regular in the neighborhood of a given ...

Spinning compact binary dynamics and chameleon orbits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We analyse the conservative evolution of spinning compact binaries to second post-Newtonian (2PN) order accuracy, with leading order spin-orbit, spin-spin and mass quadrupole-monopole contributions included.

A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.
