Second virial coefficient of an interacting anyon gas

Physical Review Letters, 1991
We consider the statistical mechanics of an interacting anyon gas with a repulsive pair potential of the form g/r2. The second virial coefficient is calculated and shown to be a smooth function of the statistical parameter-alpha for g < 0, without the cusps previously found at the Bose point in a noninteracting anyon gas.

Second virial coefficient of the interacting anyon gas

Physical Review B, 1994
Arovas and co-workers, in their well-known paper on the statistical mechanics of anyons [D. P. Arovas, R. Schrieffer, F. Wilczek, and A. Zee, Nucl. Phys. B251, 117 (1985)], found that the second virial coefficient of a two-dimensional gas of free anyons exhibits nonanalytic behavior as the statistical parameter is varied in the neighborhood of the Bose

The second virial coefficient of benzene

Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas, 1951
AbstractA one‐parameter family of curves for the second virial coefficient of benzene as a function of temperature is computed from caloric precision measurements. The formulae given by Hirschfelder c.s. and by van Laar for B(T) are compared with this experimental temperature relation.

The second virial coefficient for steam

International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 1962
Abstract Adsorption of water on the walls of the container is invoked to explain the non-linear course of the isothermal experimental values of v( pv RT −1) and v ln ( pv RT ) as small steam densities are encountered. It is noted that the known magnitude of the adsorption of water vapor on glass is in accord with the low density ...
