Second Virial Coefficients for Dimethyl Ether [PDF]
Dimethyl ether (DME) is a clean and economical alternative fuel. In addition, it is also an ozone-friendly refrigerant. Burnett measurements were carried out at temperatures from (344 to 393) K and at pressures from (0.055 to 4.015) MPa. A total of 138 experimental points, taken along 15 isotherms and 12 different temperatures, were obtained.

Intermolecular model potentials and virial coefficients from acoustic data
A simple method is presented for the determination of model two- and three-body intermolecular potentials from acoustic data. The method is applied to argon, nitrogen, methane, ethane and propane.

Calculation of propellant gas pressure by simple extended corresponding state principle
The virial equation can well describe gas state at high temperature and pressure, but the difficulties in virial coefficient calculation limit the use of virial equation.

Distribution of the second virial coefficients of globular proteins [PDF]
George and Wilson [Acta. Cryst. D 50, 361 (1994)] looked at the distribution of values of the second virial coefficient of globular proteins, under the conditions at which they crystallise. They found the values to lie within a fairly narrow range.

Thermophysical Properties of Light and Heavy Water from Second Virial Coefficient; Isotopic Substitution Effect [PDF]
In this paper, some thermophysical properties of light and heavy water will be predicted and modeled using the virial equation of state (VEOS), and the effect of isotopic substitution will be studied.

Rescaled density expansions and demixing in hard-sphere binary mixtures [PDF]
The demixing transition of a binary fluid mixture of additive hard spheres is analyzed for different size asymmetries by starting from the exact low-density expansion of the pressure.

Thermodynamics of d-dimensional hard sphere fluids confined to micropores [PDF]
We derive an analytical expression of the second virial coefficient of d-dimensional hard sphere fluids confined to slit pores by applying Speedy and Reiss’ interpretation of cavity space. We confirm that this coefficient is identical to the one obtained

Second Virial Coefficients for Nonspherical Molecules and Their Experimental Measurements [PDF]
The virial coefficients can be obtained from statistical mechanics in connection with the intermolecular potentials. The intermolecular potential of polyatomic molecules is usually assumed to consist of a spherically symmetric component plus a ...
