Pointwise estimates to the modified Riesz potential [PDF]
We prove pointwise estimates to the modified Riesz potential. We show the boundedness of its Luxemburg norm. As an application we obtain Orlicz embedding results. We study the sharpness of the results.

An extension of a result by Talalyan on the representation of measurable functions by Schauder bases
We define a class of Banach spaces which in particular include the L1, 1 1. This paper generalizes Talalyan's result to normalized Schauder bases chosen from a larger class of spaces which in particular includes Ll [a, bi and the separable Orlicz spaces.

The Liouville theorems for elliptic equations with nonstandard growth [PDF]
We study solutions and supersolutions of homogeneous and nonhomogeneous $\mathcal{A}$-harmonic equations with nonstandard growth in $\mathbb{R}^n$. Various Liouville-type theorems and nonexistence results are proved. The discussion is illustrated by a number of examples.

On applications of Orlicz Spaces to Statistical Physics [PDF]
We present a new rigorous approach based on Orlicz spaces for the description of the statistics of large regular statistical systems, both classical and quantum. This approach has the advantage that statistical mechanics is much better settled. In particular, a new kind of renormalization leading to states having a well defined entropy function is ...

Embeddings of rearrangement invariant spaces that are not strictly singular
We give partial answers to the following conjecture: the natural embedding of a rearrangement invariant space E into L_1([0,1]) is strictly singular if and only if G does not embed into E continuously, where G is the closure of the simple functions in ...

The Grothendieck property in Marcinkiewicz spaces [PDF]
The main pupose of this paper is to fully characterize continuous concave functions $\psi $ such that the corresponding Marcinkiewicz Banach function space $M_{\psi }$ is a Grothendieck space.

Variable Exponent Fock Spaces [PDF]
In this article we introduce Variable exponent Fock spaces and study some of their basic properties such as the boundedness of evaluation functionals, density of polynomials, boundedness of a Bergman-type projection and duality.

Embeddings of rearrangement invariant spaces that are not strictly singular [PDF]
We give partial answers to the following conjecture: the natural embedding of a rearrangement invariant space E into L_1([0,1]) is strictly singular if and only if G does not embed into E continuously, where G is the closure of the simple functions in the Orlicz space L_Phi with Phi(x) = exp(x^2)-1.

On algebraic properties of sets of Banach ideal function spaces [PDF]
It is shown that every set I(m) of Banach lattices of measurable functions defined on a measure space (Q,S,m), equipped with a some natural ordering became a modular lattice, which is Dedekind complete provided m is a probability measure. Moreover, some natural operations on considered spaces are in Galois connexion.
