Nickel-Catalyzed Double Dehydrogenative Coupling of Secondary Alcohols and β‑Amino Alcohols To Access Substituted Pyrroles

open access: yes, 2019
Herein, we demonstrate the first nickel-catalyzed double dehydrogenative condensation of secondary alcohols and β-amino alcohols in one pot to the pyrrole derivatives. A series of 2,5- and 2,3,5-substituted pyrroles were obtained in ≤83% yield, releasing

Dexime: A Selectively Enzyme‐Degradable Hydrogel for Protein Therapeutic Release

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A dextrin‐oxime hydrogel (dexime) is produced using ketone or aldehyde modified dextrin and tetra‐oxyamine modified poly(ethylene glycol). The rheological and mechanical properties of dexime are tunable. Dexime is injectable, cytocompatible, hydrolytically stable, and selectively degradable by α‐amylase.

1,3-Transposition of primary allylic alcohols: Synthesis of optically active secondary and tertiary allylic alcohols

open access: yes, 1997
4 pages, 1 table, 2 schemes. The reduction of optically active 2,3-epoxy alcohols, suitably prepared by the Sharpless asymmetric epoxidation of primary allylic alcohols, with the system triphenylphosphine/iodine/imidazole/2,6-lutidine/water, leads in a ...

Super‐Resolution Ultrasound Based Cell Tracking With Polymeric Nanobubbles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a super‐resolution ultrasound platform for tracking cells in vivo. Biocompatible polymeric nanobubbles are used as highly echogenic intracellular labels. Following the injection of cells and microbubbles, ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM) can dynamically match the microvascular architecture and individual cell trajectories ...
